Fall Porch

Today, I did a little more decorating for fall. I planted some fall plants/flowers in containers for my front porch.

And, I added this little guy to a flower bed next to the front steps.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. They are always too short!

Oh Happy Day!!!

Today is my favorite day of every month-well every 10 out of 12 months. The day I receive my Cottage Living. For those of you who know me, know that I am not kidding. This really is the highlight of my month. Sad, yes. This month these are the mags that I have received by mail. I'll pick up a few more in the store. I love magazines. But, there is nothing to compare to my Cottage Living.

Flowers for Fall

I love flowers! I get that from my Granny. She would be so proud! So, as the seasons change, so do the containers of flowers and plants in my yard. Here are a couple of pictures of my new plantings for this season.

My husband said that if something is fabulous, it doesn't need a sign declaring that. I disagree!

Halloween Crafts

Here in Alabama we've been enjoying the pleasant weather. Compared to the hot and humid summer days, these 80 degree days have been a fall-like treat. The change of the weather has been just the inspiration I needed to get my fall/Halloween decorations out. Last year I made a Halloween tree. It was so much fun and I loved the way it turned out. Sorry the picture is so blurry.

This year, I knew I needed a new project. I've been working on some things and still have more ideas to come. Here is a wreath I've completed. I love the way the bright orange pops against my black door. It shows up so well from the road.

This wreath is made from a metal wreath form and 4 orange and black Halloween boas-all found at Hobby Lobby for less than $15 (I got all the stuff during one of the weeks when it was 50% off). Yippee for Hobby Lobby!

I have gotten so many fall/Halloween project ideas from other bloggers. I can't wait to try a few of them. Hopefully, I'll have some completed projects to post about within the next few weeks.
Do you have any Halloween crafts that you'd recommend? Do tell!

Today is the day!

I have been wanting to try this for awhile. So, here it goes. I have been inspired by the home decorating and project ideas of others' blogs. Getting a glimpse into the lives and homes of others just thrills my nosey soul. I thought I should stop all the stalking and spend some time blogging. I love decorating my home and working on projects for my home. This blog is a place for me to share my home, my ideas and ideas I copy from others, my projects and other random thoughts. My husband and mother are probably so glad they won't be the only ones to have to hear about all of this. Here's to all the possibilities this blog has to offer!!!!!!!!
